A new £3.5m business park is to be built in a coastal town in Kent, which it
is hoped will create more than 150 jobs.

The Eurokent Business Park, which will be sited just off Haine Road in
Ramsgate, is a joint venture between the South East England Development
Agency and Thanet District Council.

The local authority hopes that the new 10-unit park will attract new
businesses to Thanet and boost the town's economy.

Lee Amor, SEEDA executive director of Development and Infrastructure, said:
"The Thanet area, despite recent years of deprivation, has huge potential
for regeneration and part of that needs to be the creation of jobs."

Councillor Roger Latchford, cabinet member for culture and economy, added:
"We want to create more employment opportunities for people as we know
that's a priority for them. This scheme will help to provide businesses with
the type of accommodation they have told us that they need to expand, so
that we can provide those additional jobs."
