TV presenter Kirstie Allsop has teamed up with the Conservatives to launch a
review into the home-buying process.

The Location Location Location presenter will look at the consumer side of
buying and selling a home, while industry expert Owen Inskip will
investigate estate agents and mortgage lenders' views on the process.

The review comes aims growing controversy in the UK property market over the Government's scheme to roll-out Home Information Packs, which the Tories say they will scrap if they come into power.

The new review aims to establish what can be done to change the process of
selling a home, which currently takes up to three months.

It will also look at the professionalism of estate agents and solicitors and
investigate the mortgage lending process, as well as the practice of
"gazumping" or "gazundering", in which the seller demands more money or the
buyer reduces their offer.
